  1. Album Description. Tales of Creation may not contain as many classics as some of Candlemass' previous efforts, but the band has never sounded better, and the exceptional production job fully highlights the operatic vocals of Messiah Marcolin without .

  2. Concept album, about a man who falls asleep under an oak tree and dreams about the journey of life. "Under the Oak" is a re-recording of a song that originally appeared on "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" (and also the "Tales of Creation" demo -see bonus reissue disc).

  3. Since their classic debut, Epicus, Candlemass has been putting out some pretty sweet content and have not done any wrong. Tales of Creation might have to be the best this band has to offer by far, if not Epicus of course. This album differs slightly from Nightfall and Ancient Dreams, and even more so .

  4. All in all, 'Tales of Creation' is a superb Epic Doom record which pulls all the right moves. It may not be considered as the best work of Candlemass but it is an absolutley brilliant album, which will keep you listening repeatedly.
